As you may know, David Ford (from ErgoCine) passed away last year. Recently, I’ve started receiving requests from customers to produce ‘the ErgoCine grip’. To crack this moral dilemma I contacted David’s family. Together with Peter Schneider, a good friend of David, we devised a solution! If anyone is interested, customers can order the “David Ford Grip” (i.e. original ErgoCine model, wingnut and rosette are non-ErgoCine parts). 10% of the revenue is donated to IDFA‘s education program in memory of David.
Customer support for ErgoCine owners
Moreover, I now offer customer support to existing ErgoCine owners. As long as you can get the grip here in Utrecht, the Netherlands, I will repair and refinish the grips. Please note: I cannot offer full replacements, just the parts and finishing to keep the ErgoCine grips like new.
I am offering these two additional services so everyone in the filmmaker community can enjoy their own personalized wooden grip, whether you are a loyal ErgoCine customer or you are buying your first ergonomic grip.
